Brick Kiln Composites Limited is committed to conducting business ethically, responsibly, and in full compliance with the UK Modern Slavery Act 2015. This policy outlines our approach to ethical trading and our zero-tolerance stance on modern slavery and human trafficking within our operations and supply chains.

Scope
This policy applies to all employees, contractors, suppliers, and business partners of Brick Kiln Composites Limited, both in the UK and internationally.

  1. Ethical Trading

    As a manufacturer of advanced carbon composite materials, we are committed to:

    • Upholding the rights and welfare of all workers involved in our operations and supply chains.
    • Ensuring safe, clean, and fair working conditions in our production facilities.

    • Complying with the Ethical Trading Initiative (ETI) Base Code and relevant UK employment laws.

  2. Anti-Slavery & Human Trafficking

    We strictly prohibit:

    • Any form of forced, bonded, or involuntary labour.
    • The use of child labour in violation of international standards.
    • Human trafficking and exploitation in any part of our business or supply chain.

  3. Supply Chain Expectations

    We expect all suppliers and subcontractors to:

    • Comply with the UK Modern Slavery Act 2015 and this policy.
    • Demonstrate transparency in their labour practices and supply chains.
    • Provide evidence of ethical sourcing, particularly for high-risk materials such as carbon fibres, resins, and imported components.
    • Cooperate with audits and assessments conducted by Brick Kiln Composites or third-party verifiers.

  4. Risk Assessment & Due Diligence

    We conduct regular risk assessments to identify and mitigate risks of unethical practices, particularly in:

    • Overseas suppliers of raw materials and chemicals.
    • Labour-intensive subcontracted manufacturing processes.
    • Logistics and warehousing operations.

    Due diligence measures include:

    • Supplier onboarding checks and contractual clauses.
    • Periodic supplier audits and site visits.
    • Use of third-party compliance platforms where applicable.
  5. Reporting & Whistleblowing

    We encourage all employees, suppliers, and stakeholders to report concerns related to unethical conduct or suspected modern slavery. Reports can be made confidentially via:

  8. Governance This policy is approved by the Management Team and overseen by the Compliance Officer. Implementation is the responsibility of senior management, with regular reporting to the board of directors.
